Ed,
I haven't taken either one of the routes you are planning so I can not
recomend either. I have no doubt that your toyota could climb any
grade on either interstate. You might loose some speed but you should
never drop below 25-35 on the steepest of grades on interstates.
However, you should take the route you are most comfortable with. Just
remember that your cruising and not racing! Have a great trip and give
us all the details when you return.
