Thanks for the replies, I did have a 89 toyota extra
cab PU for work with a V 6 and it was good up to
150,000 but I got it used with 100,000 on it so was
not sure if it had work done on it befor I bought it
It had a No.1 Cyl noise. But ran good. I think that the
Campers have more Stress because of the weight they
push around. I have allways changed the oil and filter
at 3000 to 3500 Mi, and add Slick 50. So I think that
that if the motor is Cared for It should do ok for
100,000 At least the 22RE will go 200,000 if cared for,
the only year was the 84 to85 Head gasket. That went
out around 50,000 Mi, and The factory recall took care
of it but I am sure the recall was not well known, I know
the v6 has to have the timing chain replaced at 60,000.
So any one that Has a v6 with high miles let us know
how it holds up.
Thanks, scott I am in the LA Ca. area.
