Went that way last year, did Mackinac Island before Memorial Day (great), and over to Sault St. Marie, east to highway 6 and south across the South Baymouth ferry and on down to the Niagara Falls. Finally back to Arkansas. Great trip before Memorial Day - no traffic or crowds until we got close to Buffalo.

The 85 Huntsman ran great and 17-18 mpg to boot!

We took that route last summer on our way out west from Ohio. Crossed
the bridge around 7 a.m., it was too foggy to really enjoy the view.
We took St. Rt. 2 which hugs the Lake Michigan Shoreline. Nice drive,
plenty of pine trees, with an occasionaly view of the lake. Not alot
of traffic. Happy Trails, Nate
