Hi David and Wanda
I also have a 1984 (it say 1983/may on the door, but the title says 1984.
Mine has 95,000. I just rebuilt the carburetor and adjusted the valves.
Then put a new exhaust manifold gasket on. Of course three of the
manifold bolts broke off and I had to retape the bolt. I than put a new
carrier bearing on to keep the drive shaft from vibrating. It now runs
great. Is yours a r22 engine and a 4 speed (like mine)
Take care,
Todd

We bought our TOY on the 10th of Feb have spent most of the time in,
on,under, the motor home just learning where things are,if they
work, and why they don,t.Mostly trying to fix leaks around windows
and
vents.
Made a test hop to a nearby State park and found out we will have to
learn to live within the limits of our TOY .We have a lot to learn
but that is one of the reasons it is FUN. This group has been a big
help as well as the many web sites that also give free help.
The most important thing we have learned so far is that the Toy is a
wonderful machine. We can live in it and we can drive it to the
grocery store ,Mall or any place we want to go. so last week we sold
our "other car" Why should retired people pay taxes and insurance on
to cars ?
We will keep fixing what breaks,do some more test runs and have
applied to work two months in a wildlif in refuge this spring. If it
is as cold in Texas next winter as it is this year..Mexico here we
come!!!
