Yo Benton, I mean to put the batteries in a container, I agree the converter
should be in a cabinet and nothing more than that -=dr=-

Regarding the covered container.....I would be careful not to put it in a
container, but a closet or something...The fans purpose is to keep the
electronics cool and in an enclosed container it will increase heat and
damage itself.......but a closet or even a cabinet would work...Some of
these have internal fans, they are quieter than the ones with external
motors

Mike - We have a power inverter and it buzzes when it is on. However I
do
not know if it has a fan or not? I suggest you keep the battery in a
proper
covered container and there shouldn't be any problem in my
pinion. -=dr=-

I bought a 400 watt12 to 120 volt inverter today and put it in my rig.
I
looked
like a pretty good one but it has a fan in it that makes an anoying
noise.
Do they all make noise? Do they all have fans?
I need to install a second rv battery in my rig.
If I install it in the closet of my rig will it put off acid gases
while
charging?
