I'm thinking probably not a fuse.? I'm pretty sure that cable is strictly for lighting and there are fuses up front that protect that.
Andymon's suggestion that it is some kind of connector makes more sense for the reason he suggests.
I haven't tried opening or disconnecting that.? I'm too old, big, and arthritic to accomplish very much by crawling around under there without raising up the rear end somehow.? It sits too low to the ground for me to get around under there on a creeper.? Anyway I don't dare mess with it too much without some evidence that it's part of my clearance light problem... really hard to imagine they brought a separate wire all the way back to that connector (if that's what it is) for just the clearance lights.
