what worked for me one winter assuming plugged into 110 electricity,? I bought a separate thermostat switch that plugs into the outlet and has its own receptical and it effectively turns its receptical on an off according to set temperature.? ? I then used a typical household 110V room heater plugged in to the thermostat switch.? ?About $75 for the switch but there were cheaper ones available
