No. Sandtanas were made from '82-'85 and came with foolies. I think the approximately one dozen built on 4x4 chassis had a full floater, but am not sure. The Gran Sports were made in '84-'85 and so also had foolies.
The total vehicle weight on these is less than 3,500 lbs. Quite a few owners, myself included, went with unbolted outside rears to take off the extra stress that an outside wheel and tire put on the axle.?
I read 20 years ago that only 1,600 Sandtanas were ever made. About eight per week. Not many of those are still on the road.
