Also, "ones for houses" don't run on 12V DC.??
I replaced my old water heater with a newer model gas one from Suburban with a on/off switch that mounts inside the coach. very convenient. Seems to only take about 10 minutes to heat up all the way, (scalding), but will use some of your propane. That said, so would an on demand RV water heater.? I haven't noticed any inconvenience from that. As I remember it, I didn't have to make any new water connections from the old model. I think it just fit right in.
