Re: Good price for a 91 Itasca???

Hi Jack,

Funny, but the Itasca is located IN Huntington Beach!
Here's the phone number if you'd like to give the guy
a call and find out what you can...if he hasn't sold
it yet. (714)960-1178

I don't know why, there just seems to be something
strange about this guy or the vehicle. It's like he's
trying TOO hard to sell it. He's replaced the back
bumper and the front hood and had some painting done
on the front where he replaced the hood. He said he
bought it with alot of miles on it because he wanted
to buy it cheaply so that he could then fix it up the
way he wanted. He dropped alot of numbers to how much
everything cost. I'm just not sure. I kinda wanted
something under $5000 that was dependable. His asking
price is $9500 but willing to take $9000.

Again, I'm not sure, and maybe it's just my woman's
intuition but there's an alarm going off. I would
really appreciate it if you had the time to go take a
looksie.

Thanks,
CJ

Hi CJ, That price is not all that unreasonable,
especially for the 6 cyl
engine. Where is the unit located. I live in
Huntington Beach and would be
glad to look at it for you if it is in my area.

Subject: [toyota-campers] Good price for a 91
Itasca???

Hi again everyone,

There's a '91 Itasca on a 2 ton Toyota chasis, 6
cyl rebuilt engine
with generator and the airbaged rear axle for sale
here in Cali for
$9000. The guy says there's 24K on the rebuilt
motor and that he's
had all sorts of stuff done to the RV like new
upholstery, a
generator with 100 hours on it, a fantastic fan for
the bathroom with
a rain sensor in it.

Anyway, it's an 8 hour drive down for me to look at
it and I wanted to
ask you all if it's worth my time. I haven't
really found any place
online where I can get the blue book prices on
these RV's. It's about
$4000 more than I wanted to pay but he's done all
the work to it.

Can you guys tell me what you think? What should I
look out for?
He's recently divorced and is selling it because he
has no place to
store it. He also said the Winnabego dealer said
it was worth $10,000
without the generator.

Thanks,
CJ
