Locked R&L Ultra stock?

Anybody knows when R&L will have the Ultra in stock, or what the backorder (if option is available) current expected waiting period is? I sent an email to sales two days ago but have not yet received any response on this. Has anyone been in touch with them that might have this information? No hurry to order, just wanted to get an idea when this will be ordeable in the US, as I am not interested to deal with any of the chinese sellers.

Thanks.

Just to say that I went with the manufacturer's store and had no problems:

When I ordered mine from R&L they were out of stock at the time, I just placed the order anyway and it went to backorder, when they received a shipment I was in line to get one, and got an email notifying me of shipment...?
Like you did not want to order from overseas...??

As stated in the previous email, I will not deal with the Chinese suppliers.? Especially AlliExpress!!? Nor will my CU deal with AlliExpress for my credit card.?

I will gladly wait for R&L to show stock.

I haven't had any issues with Aliexpress but I buy only inexpensive or equipment I can repair. Returns are not cost effective. Shipping costs to China are prohibitive. The smallest USPS Priority box, about 8x6x2 inches, costs 42 dollars to ship.

I ordered a tinySA Ultra from R&L even though it was out of stock. I got an email saying it was out of stock and put on back order. ?It was shipped a couple of weeks or so after it was put on back order. ?Go ahead and order one.

I emailed R&L on November 24 asking when they would have stock.? At that time they expected to have a shipment in a week or so, but all of those were already spoken for, and another shipment was expected in 2 to 3 weeks from that time.? Don't know why I waited to order, but I ordered on December 9, and received an email that they were currently out of stock and I was placed on the backorder list, with no delivery date given.

In the past I have ordered several items from the Zeenko Store on Aliexpress and never had any problems.? They are currently showing a delivery date of January 14 for the tinySA Ultra shipped to the US.

I have completely ignored Aliexpress after receiving fake clones of equipment that were not up to spec (of the authentic gear). Now it seems that Aliexpress is just an umbrella for other retailers akin to eBay and Amazon hosting other 'stores'. I will have another look, especially at zeenko.

I received mine from Aliexpress and the Zeenko store without any issues. It arrived a few days earlier than scheduled and they kept me up to date on the status.

Ordered mine for R&L even though it showed as out of stock. Arrived in my mailbox a week later.

They ignored by email as well, so you are in good company.

In any event, I waited about 2-1/2 weeks. ?You can always call them to get an ETA immediately before or after you order.

Earlier in the year I emailed R&L about expected delivery of an out of stock item and after about a week with no response, I texted them and received a reply back within an hour. Since then, I had texted them with questions a a couple more times and always received timely responses.

As I stated above, after waiting (for unknown reasons) I ordered (from R&L) on December 9.? Today I received an email that my unit had shipped today (December 19).? UPS says expected delivery date is December 23.? Happiness and joy, I'm getting a new toy for Christmas!

Thank you everyone for the input.

And NO I will not deal with overseas asian websites either, they are slow and sometimes not easy to navigate, huge time zone differences and the possibility of facing complicated language barriers if something goes wrong, or even worst case scenario the item needs to be returned do not make it worth my while one bit. Much easier to deal with someone right in the US with reliable good reputation and a quick phone call away if needed has no price. Plus all those chinese websites are choke full of stupid and useless javascript code from the user perspective, plus all the hidden tracker codes that these sites are actively trying to cram down into your browser is astonishing to say the least and slow down the whole process. Or in my case even get blocked on a properly highly secured computer configured for maximum isolation and allow zero annoying adverts. So absolutely never will try to deal with them ever again.

In any event zero hurry here, so I will wait until the Ultra are back in stock at R&L, and also skip the crazy Xmas shipping season which seems so far has turned out to be this years at? least twice as horrible as in previous years due to all the shipping volume currently out there.

Hi Folks,

At some point in time the TinySA Ultra supply will meet the exceptional demand and everyone will have the opportunity to purchase from their vendor of choice.?

In the mean time discussing your favorite vendor or least favorite vendor brings no value to this group. ?Whether you choose to order directly from a Chinese ¡°Amazon-like¡± distributor or exclusively from your favorite in-country vendor is totally your own choice.

Could we please focus further posts to the TinySA and TinySA Ultra products so that everyone can benefit from the technical and support discussions?

Thanks!

We do, Larry, in other threads. I ordered (and quickly received) my Ultra from R&L after learning, from a thread like this one, that the 'Not in stock' status doesn't necessarily mean 'not in stock'.

The current demand for the ultra outpaces the planned manufacturing capacity.
Furthermore COVID in China is disrupting logistics? and we soon we will reach Chinese new year.
Expect low availability?
