Add a reset switch for setting to DFU Mode.

Hello,
Just thought I would share the way I installed a push button momentary contact tactile switch to my TinySA.
By pushing the switch while turning on puts the SA in DFU mode.
There is no need to take the unit apart to short the Boot and Vcc pins every time you want to change the firmware.
You only have to take the SA apart once to install the switch.
Please refer to the photos I attached.
Next project will be to install a Bluetooth module just like in the NanoVNA H.
Then wait till someone programs the firmware with the Bluetooth commands. I do not do programming anymore.
The switch is protected from being accidentally activated by the rubber bumpers or feet on the bottom of the case.
I got the bumpers or feet at Walmart. The package of tactile switches were purchased on Ebay. The package consisted of a bunch of switches with various lengths of push buttons.
I used the 12 mm length shafts.

Clyde,
I think most firmware versions include a "->DFU" choice in the "CONFIG" menu.? You should only need to short the contacts for the update if your firmware is not running for some reason.

The firmware version 1.1-7 has it but it was taken out to save space. Not sure where to connect it though.

The firmware version 1.1-7 has support for a serial connection in the same way as a nanovna but it was taken out to save space. Not sure where to connect it though. It was taken out to save space in 1.1-9.

Hello,

I see no photos?!?

Thanks, ? ? ?larry

It is simpler to connect the middle pin of the jog switch with Boot0
Press the jog switch while power on and you are in DFU mode.
Correct?

Clyde sent the? photos in .h eic format, an Apple format which other operating systems may or may not support.? I had to install a lib to handle them in Linux.? Here they are in .png format, which should open on any computer:

Hello,
I am not sure why or how the photos got in an Apple file format. They were taken on my Samsung galaxy S10 then attached to the message.?
I have no Apple apps on my phone.
Any way, thank you for converting them to PNG format.
I will have to check out the app I used to prevent another acurence.
Yes, I know there is a DFU setting in the upgrades, but, I was having trouble with the upgrades and the DFU settings in the menu was not working, so I decided to make it easier for me to experiment with my SA.?
got tired of?
Again thank you.

It seems like the Galaxy 10 series and later support taking photos in heic/f now but most things still don’t support heic and heif

Tripp is right: the S10 will save photos/videos in heic/heif, although the default is jpg.? I wonder if that got turned on accidentally somehow?? Open the camera app, click on the gear icon, and scroll down to Save options.? If HEIF is on, turn it off.? It's nice to have that capability, but until it's more widely used, I'm sticking with jpg and png.

THANK YOU very much. I appreciate your help.
I have reset the save photo. I do not know how it was set to heic/HEIF. I do not use the camera that often to know where the "save" setting are at. At least until now
The setting has been corrected.
Thank you guys.
