New TinySA-ULTRA Case (3D print) on Thingiverse #ultra

Hello all...

Just wanted to share that I posted an updated case compatible with the TinySA-ULTRA on Thingiverse.? It is available here:

This design is based on my original design for the TinySA/NanoVNA-H from here:??(this one is NOT ULTRA-compatible).

Thanks to Don for requesting it via Thingiverse, and for providing measurements of the ULTRA (I don't have one, so had to rely on him).? The photos of the assembled case on the Thingiverse page are his test prints to confirm proper fit.

I just went to the site you listed, hoping to see a price tag for same. After coming back out, I now realize that the cases are too expensive for me, as I would have to buy a 3-D printer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! signed, Geo. PS: You raised my hopes then, dashed them away. I'm going out to buy a 'Clone' beer to drink.

No idea if they will fit the clones, but if the clones are physically identical in size, they should be fine.

I might consider printing and selling a few of these for members here, provided they would be shipping to the US (I don't want to deal with international shipping).? No idea what I would price them at, though...

Would $30 shipped be reasonable?

I'll trade a 3d printer for an Ultra, LPUO! You can print a case for yourself and one for your friends. :)

$30 sounds great. No taxes or Import duties Please, as I have been down that road already here in the USA.

YEH, but then I would only have 1 ULTRA left. I always buy in 2s or 3s of an item. This way I'm sure to have 1 working item. I would have to buy 2 cases and reorder a replacement ULTRA in a quantity of 2. Just in case 1 is a 'clone' then, I would have (again) at least 1 good one.

I was unaware of the cases on Thingiverse. Started printing my cases last night, lower half of tinySA case came out perfect!

My offer to trade a 3d printer for an Ultra still stands, LPUO!!

Looks good!? Did you print that with no supports?? And is it PLA or PETG?? I personally print almost exclusively with PETG, and the only downside is that it doesn't bridge well, so if I print without supports, that "bridge" support for the attenuators in the lower left corner isn't great underneath...

Looks good. I printed two of them originally, one for my original TonySA, one for my nanoVNA.

And once the Ultra arrived, I couldn't let it go without a case, and I can't say thank you enough to Jeff for taking the time to draw it up. Flawless with the very first print, had I tried doing the same with my beginner Fusion 360 skills, I might have been lucky to have one ready by about 2025, lol.

But I gotta ask...I'm scratching my head at what "LPUO" means...google came up empty.

LPUO: ?Local Pick Up Only

"LPUO"-----------Even thought I was a 'Code Cracker' during WWI (many moons ago) I can not for the life of me figure this one out. Can someone help? L.P.U.O. must be an acronym to something that I am not familiar with. Again, please help so I can take this one off my 'Bucket' List!!

Wow, did I miss the obvious. I'm throwing away my code book and taking up dancing.

You and me both..I should have known that one.

George Dukish

Just as long as 'LPUO' isn't Russia, Ukraine, China or Washington D.C. (FBI) field office, $30 is still a good price. Will you be accepting PayPal or 'Food Stamps'?

LPUO = Local Pick Up Only :)

George Dukish

Hell, back in my day LPUO meant to not pick up any foreign women going out on a date.
