Re: My Menus Don't Match Videos
Don't worry, you have the latest FW.
The way traces are handle has seen a considerable change, and it may confuse people, but I can not redo all video's STORE TRACE is now in the TRACE MENU and call COPY -> TRACE CALC also?moved to the TRACE menu Suggest you watch this video explaining the changes:?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FIFO5vgGk0 -- ------------------------------------------

My Menus Don't Match Videos
Hello, I just got a TinySA with v1.3-320 firmware. I'm trying to learn how to store a trace by watching the videos, but the videos do not match what I see on my screen.? For instance. In my "Display" menu. I don't have a "Trace" or a "Calc" choice. I only see: Pause Sweep Waterfall Sweep Time Sweep Points Sweep Accuracy <-- Back I do have a "Trace" option in the main menu, above "Display", but there's no Store Trace Option there either. Do I have a clone since my menus don't match the videos? Everything else points to a real device. |
Re: New Tinysa-am having troubles
In the row od buttons at the very top of the app screen is one that looks like a camera.

Re: New Tinysa-am having troubles
If using the TinySA app on a computer to give display on the monitor, you can do a screen print which copies it to the clipboard. Then you can open a new document and paste the info to the document.? Save and then can insert the document or attach to group email.?

A digital camera would work, if you have one, otherwise hold the tinysa

up to the camera embedded in your computer and take a picture with whatever software is provided with your computer, on Linux that would be Cheese for example. Andrew, W5AWS. -----Original Message-----

Okay. Thanks Dave! Yes, I've read that attenuator-test procedure. Will try that if I see that "fail" error again; hopefully I'll never see it again! 73, Prem VA3UMA On Fri., Nov. 12, 2021, 2:37 p.m. Dave via , <dvfuller=[email protected]> wrote: If it happens again try doing the attenuator test. ? ? For comparison with measurement data from an EMC receiver making logarithmic sweeps, your suggestion would not work for Alois as the measurement increments are different between linear and logarithmic sweeps and the measurement data points will differ. ? ?In addition to logarithmic sweeping, an EMC receiver/software is capable of a lot more measurement points than the tinySA; so, a 10kHz to 30MHz sweep may need to be broken up into several frequency bands and "stitched" together when using the tinySA in order to match the measurement data from an EMC receiver. ? ?If care is taken to closely match measurement bandwidth, frequency increment, and protect the tinySA front end from 50/60Hz related harmonics/transients when connected to a Line Impedance Stabilization Network (LISN), then I agree with Alois that tinySA can be an economical measurement receiver for performing pre-compliance conducted emissions measurements. Re: tinySA logarithmic sweep?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýA simple solution would be to do linear sweeps but draw log graphics (as an option). I do it in the PHSNA. Ignacio

Re: What to do when a selftest fails
Hello Erik, first-off, thank you for a nice and affordable product, sir!
?
Just wanted to share my experience, and test result(s):
?
Purchased from Zenko store on Ali-Express. Ordered 4th October 2021. Delivered yesterday (10 Nov).
Came with FW of 5th May 21 (1.3-111).?
1) Initial self-test failed on the 12th.
2) Did a power reset, and tried again. It passed all tests.
3) I upgraded the FW to 1.3-320 (8-Nov-2021)
4) Passes all tests
?
Attachments: Serial number label and failure-mode.
?
I hope I don't see that "FAIL" again. :-)
?
