Re: Expert menu freq/level correction also applies to OUTPUT mode?
BTW small correction to my initial opening post: I was testing the generator yesterday and it seems very promising to test radio receivers by using some external attenuation in the order of 50dB (NOT

Re: Expert menu freq/level correction also applies to OUTPUT mode?
If I had to choose only one output mode setting to be saved at the end of the session it would be the frequency. Ideally saving both frequency and level if possible would be nice. To compensate for

Re: Delta 0 marker indication #bug_report
Hello Erik, In firmware tinySA_v1.3-347-g31eb02e.dfu in the menu: There is a letter *"S" missing* : DISPLAY->SWEEP ACCURACY->SPEEDUP 73, Rudi DL5FA

Delta 0 marker indication #bug_report
Marker 2, 3 or 4 in Delta mode, when they are exactly overlapping Marker 1, their indications are sometimes 4.29GHz instead of 0Hz. (next picture: when set Marker 4 to Tracking mode, it changes from

Re: My internal 602540 LiPo battery not holding a charge.
Hi Geoff, I've been doing that very same thing and find it helpful. I just don't want to keep taking out a 'Jump-Pack' to my car with a dead battery every time I want to take a trip to the store for

Mike, Thanks again.

Re: Expert menu freq/level correction also applies to OUTPUT mode?
Yes, one setting works in an identical way on both input and output. No, there is insufficient memory to store all settings but I may squeeze in some more. Please do specify your prioritized list of

Expert menu freq/level correction also applies to OUTPUT mode?
Hello, I was testing the generator yesterday and it seems very promising to test radio receivers by using some external attenuation in the order of 30dB to bring the signal level down to a usable

Re: My internal 602540 LiPo battery not holding a charge.
Why don't you use a USB power bank, designed to re-charge mobile phones, if you want to extend the useage on battery. Simply plug into the USB socket on the tinySA. No need to open the unit or worry

Re: Having to replace internal LiPo battery...
Thanks for the complement, George. As a COTR (contracting officers' technical representative) "finding" stuff was my job. Now 18 years retired, finding stuff is still fun, bring it on. Mike C.

Re: Precision to measure frequency
The tinySA has an internal 30MHz TCXO which is quite accurate already. Any deviations can be further corrected by using a precision clock counter and performing a calibration like Erik showed in one

Re: TinySA calibration and level check with sma cable or both cables?
I think too many are confusing the calibration with the nanoVNA SOLT cal. Not the same!.

Re: TinySA calibration and level check with sma cable or both cables?
Thanks for reminding me not to forget, as much as I was already taught years ago in the USAF tech schools I attended, regarding such matters. "I hate getting old". Again, thank you Dave for your time.

William, Thank you for pointing out what I should have already known and have forgotten, being prior Air Force communications repairman overseas. It goes to show that the older I get, the more I seem

Re: TinySA calibration and level check with sma cable or both cables?
For calibrating frequency at HF, don't forget about WWV and CHU. The AM BC stations are also held to a pretty tight standard (if they mind their own business per FCC). Dave - W?LEV

Re: TinySA calibration and level check with sma cable or both cables?
Thank you for making sense of why 2 cables, of equal length and type, were included in the box. I clearly forgot filter insertion testing between high and low. Again, thank you for your time in this

Re: TinySA calibration and level check with sma cable or both cables?
You need to calibrate as close to your measurement configuration as possible. ?If you need both cables to interface to the unit under test, then use both cables with the connector to calibrate.

Re: TinySA calibration and level check with sma cable or both cables?
From what I've watched, the Idea of two cables is that you would be using two cables when you checked your filter, or what ever DUT that you have.? The folks that use longer leads with clips etc,
