Re: My internal 602540 LiPo battery not holding a charge.

Hi Geoff, I've been doing that very same thing and find it helpful. I just don't want to keep taking out a 'Jump-Pack' to my car with a dead battery
every time I want to take a trip to the store for refreshments. Originally weeks ago, I received this TinySA in the post with the unit arriving in the powered on mode. That led me to believe that it had drained down, from either the day it had shipped out from China or since it left the store in Ohio. Either way, upon arrival, I gave it a monitored charge with indicators showing that the rate of charge was completed in under a 1/2 hour even though said battery was still showing 320mA of current draw from the charging circuit. After letting the unit rest , after charging, for 20 minutes, I then fired it up only to see the voltage drop back into the red with blinking indications on the TinySA screen.. What was even more interesting was when I physically removed the battery out of the back shell, I noticed 'bulging' had occurred at some time. So, after recharging again, while out of unit under a CV/CC conditions at a rate of 50%(C) with a 4.2Volt ceiling and running a digital load check, I found only having a battery capacity of 46mAh rating after completion. So, I decided to look into replacing battery. In short, I was draining my USB power bank faster by running it that way. Either way, thank you for taking the time in my hour of need. Deeply appreciated. signed, Geo. P.S.: Don't think of doing the 'Stupid' thing I did, when I thought to run the unit on a USB power bank, without the internal battery! I only did so for no more than 3 seconds after noticing a brighter screen display more than normal and a message came up stating:"DANGER WILL ROBINSON". I'm sure I caught it before damaging same. Anyway, I'll know for sure, once the replacement battery arrives from Amazon among other toys I have ordered. Take care and stay safe Geoff..................................

Why don't you use a USB power bank, designed to re-charge mobile phones, if you want to extend the useage on battery. Simply plug into the USB socket on the tinySA. No need to open the unit or worry about size of connector.
