Re: How to apply frequency-dependent Antenna Factor
Hi Erik,
Thank you for the suggestion. Is the trace limited to 8 points linearly interpolated? This may work fine in a pinch, but ideally I someone upload the full table of AF measurements (there's

Re: How to apply frequency-dependent Antenna Factor
Using TRACE/CALC/TABLE TRACE you can create a trace containing a 8 point linear interpolation of the AF versus frequency.
Suggest to use TRACE 4 for the table.
Now you can use the TABLE TRACE as

How to apply frequency-dependent Antenna Factor
Good day,
I would like to know whether I can apply the Antenna Factor (AF) for my calibrated biconical antenna to measurements being made by the TinySA Ultra. Antenna theory refresher: The AF is a

Thank you, you are super fast with the answers!
Writing the first question, I was basically positive theory where both ok, but just in case, I wanted to make sure with somebody who actually knows what

Re: Tinysa ultra zs-407 real or fake
You are comparing the Ultra with a, in the video, a 2.8 inch tinySA Basic.
The Ultra has at least 4 dB lower noise floor and the basic does 4 times averaging
This explains the difference in noise you

The same thing happened to me. In /AppData/Local/QtTinySA I deleted the QtTSAPrefs.db file and in its place I copied the QtTSAPrefs.db that comes in the .zip

I hope you don't give up on the windows version. I can't get 1.0.2 to start on Windows 11. I see that it did create the QtTSAprefs.db file in /AppData/Local/QtTinySA. But the command script ends with

Re: Pre-sale, tinySA ULTRA plus
Tecsun has some nifty tiny receivers that will double as a powered speaker and also record the audio. I have a Q3 that I purchased for just such tasks.

Hi,
Some people use the "amplified speakers" marketed for use with computer sound systems. I use those the same way for my little QRP radios without speakers or in loud outdoor environments. Earphones

However, the 406 is incredibly sensitive, with an internal antenna (1 meter
stylus) I listened to international radio Romania at 15370.
Does anyone know if you can increase the audio

Let me know if you see an artifact coming from the input that impacts measurement performance

You're right, Erik, that these artifacts are not necessarily an issue if it does not affect proper operation. Regarding the apparent output interference of the RF input: that's at least something that

Rob,
How do you determine these artifacts are an issue?
