Re: TinySA ULTRA Calibration

Fine to use harmonics, but how do you know your level at the harmonic frequency is correct unless you either have a second spectrum analyzer, or your setup includes a selective form of power measurement i.E. filter and power meter to measure the level.?

Ultra Arrived - Crooked Screen Help?

My Ultra arrived yesterday from R&L.? The screen is crooked but firmly attached.? Any suggestions on how to release the tape and re-apply?

Thanks

Rich

Re: TinySA ULTRA Calibration

I did try to use harmonics of the tinySA 9x 593 MHz and 12x 445 MHz

Re: TINY SA Ultra Listen

Some devices seem to have trouble with the tip shape, however!

A simple cure is to obtain the kind of inexpensive headset splitter cable with 3.5mm stereo output plugs for the headphone and microphone separately. I don't believe that splitting them is the issue, but most of them have different shaped tips on the 3.5mm plugs.

I've bought several different kinds from Amazon and they all seem to solve the problem. They're also handy for their original purpose sometimes. There are several different designs and they vary in length, durability and price...

They're also a handy place to insert toroids to deal with rf issues on transceivers..

Here's one I've used:

hope this helps...

Re: Valid seller to UK

Yes, see wiki where to buy

For more info on the tinySA go to https://tinysa.org/wiki/

Re: TinySA ULTRA Calibration

For calibration above 5.34GHz you need to provide a 5.34GHz input signal into the RF input.

TinySA ULTRA Calibration

I'm seeing-

"Signal level too low
Touch screen to continue"

When I try to do "CALIBRATE above 5.34GHz"

The Wiki doesn't seen to actually cover initial setup of the ULTRA yet.

Re: Valid seller to UK

I've just got one from Mirfield Electronics, are the a valid seller?

Re: Valid seller to UK

I was under the impression that I had ordered the Ultra through Zeenko, but when I received the order it said it was through the Geek seller which is why I questioned it. I am in the process of cancelling the first order and re ordering.

Thanks.

Re: TinySA persistence

Thank you.? This is what I was looking for.? I am not too concerned about updating - DFU mode.? Just being able to capture screen on the PC.

You have to be very careful when you use a wideband noise generator as a substitute for a tracking generator.? The reason is that the tinySA and tinySA Ultra? have maximum input power limits of +10 dBm and +5 dBm respectively.? This is the total power in the entire signal bandwidth.? A noise generator can have very low power in a narrow measured bandwidth but when you sum up the total noise power it can be quite high.??

Erik explains this and how to measure filters and amplifiers in a short video?

If you mean the firmware update procedure the answer is Yes.?

Same drivers as NanoVNA for serial port data exchange and DFU firmware update.

There is only one app and it is called tinySA app and it is a modified version of NanoVNA app by OneOfEleven.

Yes

Re: Arrived today.... #ultra

I received the email yesterday stating my TinySA Ultra shipped. UPS
delivered it today.? The display a little loose on the top. Gentle
pressure on the edge of the display solved the problem.? Time to try it
out and possibly upgrade the firmware.

Thanks Erik, that is what made me query it.
