Aliexpress Zeenko store - Order does not arrive in Germany - Experience from other people?
I would like to cross-check with other TinySA fans on their experience with the "Zeenko" store on Aliexpress and delivery to Europe particularly Germany.
I ordered a TinySA on Oct. 19, 2020 in the Aliexpress Zeenko store, which was at that point in time one of the few sellers recommended. It was not in stock at that time but got back into stock and was shipped on 28.10.20 with Aliexpress standard shipping. Per the Aliexpress tracking it was announced to PostNL on 11.11.20, who obviously should deliver it in Europe/Germany. It went further and is now in the status "The item cannot be delivered and will be returned": I have not heard anything about the parcel through phone or e-mail, i.e. I have zero information beyond the information on the PostNL tracking site. My shipping address is definitely correct as I have an Aliexpress acount and received numerous shipments through that account and address over the last 12 months. I received the last item from another seller just yesterday. Did anybody make the same experience or has an explanation, why this is happening? My guess would be that it is related to the VAT which applies, if the value of the shipment is higher than EUR 22 and that there is potentially a processing issue. BTW: I never ordered above EUR 22 from Aliexpress before. Many thanks |
Re: Water does not fall
Very weird, I checked again the v1.1-72 FW and water does fall.....
There is no setting for the waterfall and I have absolutely no clue what could cause this. Is the big waterfall also white? ------------------------------------------

Hi,
Thanks for posting that. I saw the price on the linked site at eBay. I can't afford to send 25 pounds of money but I found the same thing (runs on 125 volts AC) for only a few dollars <sly grin>. I located it on Amazon and the exchange rate puts it close on price. I have some notion about British Pounds/Dollar akin to my approximations of metric conversion like kilograms/ounce, meters/foot, seconds/second, liters/ounce, etc. I actually found a similar one for less! Even the photo of the cheaper one looked - well- *cheap*. As you mentioned there were others with perhaps nicer features for a little more up to and including a lot more. I am going to look at the details and choose either the exact one you have or one that is not much more costly. Hi Steve,
The PE4302 QFN24 encapsulated IC is worth nothing with tweezers. You need a hot air gun here. Indeed, in the case of a two-point soldered part, the tweezers may be used in some cases. A very small (around 0402) single soldering iron is also a solution. -- 73, Gyula HA3HZ |

I forgot to mention that you also need a syringe of flux and some solvent to clear the board afterwards.
If you want to look at videos by the hundred on these techniques, search on utube for repairs to iPhone/Ipad for the principles and challenges. Hoping to repair some duff IPads is why I bought the tweezer soldering iron, the hot air gun, tubes of flux etc. I soon gave up with the IPads. Steve L |

I have been following this thread with interest........
I have not yet damaged any of my TinySA or nanovna collection. I suppose I am inherently careful with input overload. If in doubt, a 10db attenuator on the input while setting things up gives a margin of safety. However, no one has mentioned the use of a tweezer soldering iron. I got one for about ?30 from Banggood. Both arms of the tweezer are heated. You put it either side of the component to be removed and lift away. Replacement is the reverse -pick it up, let it get hot and then place on the board. No heat gun, blunderbuss soldering iron needed. I have not used it myself, but I did lend it to a friend who said it was fantastic. I also lent him my cheap ¡°microscope¡±, also from Banggood, about ?40. For us veteran enthusiasts, these aids are essential. The microscope has been surprisingly useful. I will have to venture forth one day, when I have slipped up.......... (or ask my friend to do it for me). Steve L Sent from my iPhone with speeling mistakes |
