Re: Frequency generator output
The text "Path: HARM" is a remainder of an internal setting that should have been removed after the test/calibration.
Switch of the the tinySA and on again and see if this is gone.
If not, switch off, press jog button to the side and switch on again.
Now it must be gone
Try again of you can get the 10 MHz sine output
?
Keep in mind the CAL output of the tinySA Ultra is at -35dBm so difficult to see on a scope.

Frequency generator output
I just received my TinySA Ultra. Earlier, I was able to get a clean sine wave on my Tektronix 2213A. I wanted to do a frequency correction as on the TinySA basic version. I connected "CAL" terminal to the oscilloscope and selected 10Mhz output in the Calibration Output. I was unable to get a waveform. I then reconnected the oscilloscope to the "RF" terminal (after turning off the calibration output) and attempted to generate a 10Mhz signal with "Low Output" ON. There was no waveform on the oscilloscope. I ran the self test and it passed all tests. Then ran the level calibration, which completed. When calibration was complete on the left side of the screen, two items are in red: "-10dBm" at the top and "Path: HARM" in the middle.
Am I doing something wrong. Is there a way to get back to normal?

Re: No scan on Windows screen of tinySA-App with connected tiny SA-ultra
/g/tinysa/topic/109991384 /g/tinysa/topic/new_fw_release_bug_fixes_and/109769305 Yes, this is an issue with the latest firmware version. Roll back to version 177; it works fine. |

An alternative to tinySA-App is Ian's QtTinySA Python application at ?

No scan on Windows screen of tinySA-App with connected tiny SA-ultra
Hi,
Iwant to use a tinySA-ultra with the tinySA-App. By clicking on connect button tiny SA seems to be connected because single scan and multi scan buttons are highlighted. After clicking on one of these buttons nothing happens on the screen. No scan is displayed on tinySA-App screen although scan is displayed on tinySA-ultra itself, also green bar is displayed on tinySA display.
I bought tiny SA ultra last week at eleshop.nl and updated Firmware before use.
Version: tinySA4_v1.4-187-gc385f30
Build Time: Nov 25 2024 - 12:14:35
What is going wrong? Has anybody the same issue or better a solution for that?
Kind Regards

"Electric extension cords often have pin protections"
How is this related to audio jacks?
"What helps a lot to make that go smoother is a little bit of vaseline. Perhaps it works with your little 3.5mm plug as well."
Protection on electrical sockets has nothing to do with lubrication. Do not put anything in the socket, you might get killed. Also do not lubricate jacks.
I would strongly advise a check with a doctor, you might have a stroke. I've read reports from numerous cases, you can't tell your self. If not I appologise. Living with mental dissabillities must be a hell.

What he means is that on cheap sockets, not the ones made by MK, the 240V holes are covered by a slider actuated by the Earth pin. These tend to jam after a few years usage and can benefit from a daub of Vaseline applied to the hole for the Earth pin!
