New FW release
Version V1.4187
Ultra only
?
Changes:
- OIP3 data now shown as dBm
- Quasi peak implemented for non zero span scans. MAX HOLD DECAY may be easier to use
- Function added CONFIG/TOUCH/DRAWPAD. This converts the tinySA into a drawing pad for (small) kids. Press jog button to clear. Restart to exit.

Jokes aside scratchpad, if you can save and overlay is very very useful for taking notes etc. If it is not too much work...

There are currently no controls that can be used to start/exit drawing mode of a loaded captured screen.
You have jog button left (open previous bitmap) down (exit viewing bitmaps) and right (open next bitmap)
and the same for the touching of the left, middle or right part of the screen
One possibility would be to use the touch only for taking notes on a saved bitmap, SD icon touch to save the updated bitmap while jog button functions remain the same.
Would it be better to exit LOAD back into the file browser instead of falling back to normal scanning screen without menu shown?

Thanks for updating. As for the drawing pad, it was already kinda available with the testing of the touchpad option. But that one at least let you back out by pushing the dial. Having to turn off the device seems a bit extreme.

This can't be my second childhood, I haven't finished the first one yet.? That said, I think the draw pad in a clever idea.

I already had a damaged touchscreen by my grandchild - no need to get it a second time :(
 

hi,
alter upgrading my tinySA ULTRA to fw 187 I have trouble by connecting my laptop.
After around 40 sec the connection is gone.

if I go back to the previous fw everything works well.
Is this a known trouble?
btw, TinySA Ultra is a fantastic tool!!

I too had the same problem. Reloaded 177 with success.
