If folks can build the code without
errors or other problems, it means they can make custom changes to
the code for their own purposes.

question: A lot of posts appear to be about compiling source code
files - presumably to create .bin or .dfu files for the latest
versions. I'm curious as to why there's so much interest in doing
so when Erik provides those files for us. It seems like a lot of
unnecessary work. What am I missing?
