Once paused, and window closed, it looks like it goes back to un-paused ? When the comms window is opened again it resumes to paused ? Mike G8EII ? ?

In my case, after I paused the Comms window, I closed it, assuming that it would stay paused...the App then ran for about 7 minutes before the freeze....maybe I am the 'stupid" one!
