Good proposal,
Just like an "external amp" I'd prefer an "external conversion" that shifts everything frequency related (+ is upconverted, - is downconverted). Would be nice if it fits in the frequency menu but no more space. EXPERT CONFIG or MEASURE are alternatives. For the todo list
