We know that having a spectrum analyzer is a very nice tool for the bench. I have often looked through eBay for a used HP or Agilent or Rohdes, or whatever for my use here at home. When the NanoVNA came out I was sceptical at first but then decided to bite the bullet. Now we have a TinySA which I find very useful. There are some functions that are not what I would expect on a SpecAm.
For many years as a Satellite Systems guy I used HP SpecAm (8563A) and it became my life blood in the field looking at transponder signals. So. is there a particular SpecAm that was used as the model for the TinySA?
