Dave,
? ?It seems like a short period of time but Erik has been perfecting the design for months now starting with your homebrew version.? Combining the original design with features from the NanoVNA and additional generator operating modes makes the tinySA feel tiny only in size.
?I own a HP8558 spectrum analyzer which covers the same range as the tinySA and also covers more than half of my workbench.? The tinySA gives me far more capability and the HP8558 is a pain to keep working.? Like you I value my bench space, so because of the tinySA my HP8558 is being donated to the local technical high school.
?Since you are familiar with Erik's past work you know how meticulous he is.? I've worked with a lot of engineers in my career in EMC but rarely any that combine Eriks hardware, software and firmware skills.?
