Re: Invitation: How high will your tinySA Ultra go?

I know mine goes at least to 12 GHz in Ultra mode because I've used it to peak up 12 GHz sources.

Here are the specifications for the Ultra:

Spectrum Analyzer spec:

  • Input frequency range from 100kHz to 800MHz (900 MHz for Ultra+) in normal mode and up to 6GHz ( 7.3GHz for ZS407 ) with ULTRA mode enabled
Here is a screen shot of both my TINYSAs:

If this email doesn't support embedded imagery, I'll also attach it.

I just tried mine and the maximum settable frequency displays 12.072 GHz.? I tested it at 11.6 GHz and it still registers.?

Is the "Kernal" you are inquiring about?? If so, mine is 4.0.0 - not what you are inquiring about.

Erik, Isidro,

Returning to old thread. In my recent post #19273 I asked the same question, and this discussion (starting at #8369) is basically identical, so as I read the discussion here, I remain particularly interested in usability (with compromised limitations) in the 5-18 GHz range on the original TinySA Ultra.

I am interested in the result of any test along lines of what Erik suggested in #8485 (at least up to 18 GHz), particularly for the original TinySA Ultra (405) version.

Thank you!
