?However, any digital electronic system will generate low and high frequency energy as a basic result of its operation.? Have a good visit with Mr. Fourier and the Fourier series.? All digital circuitry operates on square waves - a compilation of odd harmonics of the fundamental frequencies - just ones and zeros.? A good square wave at 1 GHz SHOULD contain harmonics to at least the 11th.? The old adage and "conventional knowledge" of supporting up to the fifth harmonic really does not produce a very good square wave!!? Eric did a wonderful job of keeping all this digital "garbage" out of the final display - the spectrum of RF energy!!
