Thanks for the input. I'll look for a better USB cable other than the ones that came with the SA. I have some ferrite cores so I took one and wrapped a few loops around it at the SA micro USB end. Seems to have worked a little.?I don't have a USB isolator so I'll see what I can find on the InterWebs. More tests foreseen.?

That is the simplest answer. RF will go where it wants to go. What you have there is a very unbalanced antenna system. A USB isolator may help.
