In the spec of the ultra rf -generator is says step size of 44 Hz, but i measured 57.2 Hz.
Step size of 57 Hz, gives freq gaps on chosen output frequency between 0 and +28 Hz or 0 and -28 Hz.
My cal output frequency is when warmup after 30 min, at 10 Mhz setting:? 9.999.990,22 so that is -978 ppb
-978 ppb gives at 1 Ghz an error of -978 Hz. (+- 57.2 Hz)? So i put in expert config, Freq. Corr: -978
and indeed ... all output frequencies are now correct within 0 to +-28 Hz due to the step size of 57.2 Hz.
The cal output cold is on my tinSA ultra 9.999.992,12 Hz (7.88 Hz off), warm and stable: 9.999.990,22 Hz (9.78 Hz off).
Counter is locked to GPS.
Example rf-output set to 400 Mhz, and freq corr set to 0, measured: 399.99.587 Hz error 413 Hz.
next set freq corr set to -978, measured at 400 Mhz:? 399.999.987 Hz error 13 Hz, thats within 0-28 Hz due to step size of 57.2 Hz.
So in this example 400 Mhz is between two 57 Hz step? frequencies:? 400.000.044 Hz? and the nearest 399.999.987 Hz?
Only if your Freq Corr is set correct the error on the chosen frequency wil stay between? 0 and 28 Hz
