This is probably a shot of 50 not long after she was delivered. See the trust plate on the long hood walkway. This was soon removed after TAG quickly paid this locomotive off. How would you like Ford Motor Credit etc. to install a brass plate on your bumper till you paid your car off. Later circa 1962-63 shots show a clean white rectangular area where the plate was removed. Another dating feature is the mid 1960s memorial markings that were installed after Mr. Hedges passed away. Then long about the time the 80 was delivered the original four TAG diesels got a fresh paint job. If you see a pic of 50 with clean fresh paint and no trust plate nor memorial then the pic was made between 1969 and eventual Southern paint.
