Older Versions of Tablesmith 10 #tablesmith
Is there a location where we could store older versions of Tablesmith? I would like to go back to 3.9, 4.0, and 4.5. Maybe store them in the Files section? Thanks for the consideration.

Town Generator 4
There was a town generator for I believe D&D 3.0 that I had years ago. I was wondering if that generator still existed or if one had been created for the latest table smith and D&D 5.0? There is a town generator sharn but it is not quite the same but close. I am just not skilled enough to modify it. I will give it a shot if there is not an update to the original. Thanks

Tablesmith using appimage 19
Has anyone tried to build an appimage version. I am not a programmer, but it looks promising from a working on different platforms perspective.

Error Message help 6
Ok. Here is the code: _|pWeightS={Calc~(%DieHolder%-32)}| {if~%pWeightS% < 0 ? |pWeightS = 0|} _|pWeightF={Calc~(%DieHolder%+32)}| {if~%pWeightF% > 54 ? |pWeightF = 54|} _|pWeightS=[WeightMultA=%pWeightS%]| |pWeightS={Calc~(%pHeight%*%pWeightS%)}| _|pWeightF=[WeightMultA=%pWeightF%]| |pWeightF={Calc~(%pHeight%*%pWeightF%)}| Here is the output: Weight: 122.4 pounds (Scrawny Weakness 102, Fat Weakness ***ERROR on line 157 of table 'Age of Ambition Background' - : 'Input string was not in a correct format.'. *** ) So it looks like it's doing the scrawny value correctly, but it's burping on the fat value. I've looked at the code and they seem identical. Not sure why it's erroring out.

Editing Central Casting table for later versions 2
So, I ended up shifting computers a while ago, and just reinstalled TableSmith tonight. Sadly, the table I was looking to use appears to be rife with errors with the updated version. Does anyone have updated tables for Central Casting: Heroes of Legend. Or any of the other Central Casting books, for that matter?

Calc Error 5
So I am trying to create an if statement with a calc inside. It keeps kicking an error. ***ERROR on line 12 of table 'Age of Ambition Background' - : 'Input string was not in a correct format.'. *** This is the line from the table: _{if~%pRaceNum% = 3 ? |DieHolder={Dice~1d10}||pAge={Calc~(120+(10 x 15))}|} Originally it said this: _{if~%pRaceNum% = 3 ? |DieHolder={Dice~1d10}||pAge={Calc~(120+(%DieHolder% x 15))}|} They both give the same error. So what am I missing?

Still getting Unhandled Exception error when Windows 10 updates in new Dell desktop even with portable version 2
It lasted through one update, I think, so I thought using the portable instead of the main one would work finally. It has not, and with the last update I had, it went back to disabling the program with an "unhandled exception" warning "again." I don't know what to do except keep reinstalling each time Windows 10 updates, but it is getting annoying. I even changed the name of the folder it was in, in case "putting it somewhere else" would help, but that was a bit superfluous. I don't know why it keeps attacking it, or what is. I want to use the program on this new desktop, it is where all my custom tables are stored.

Trying to install Tablesmith 5.2 on new Dell 3671, at first it worked, now it won't open, reinstall caused it to freeze, fixed by reinstalling, then update caused same problem 8
It keeps saying unhandled exception, then won't open the program. I don't want to have to reinstall every time it updates. The compatibility test has never worked. I always open as administrator. Is there anything else to try?

Trying to install Tablesmith 5.2 on new Dell 3671, at first it worked, now it won't open, reinstall caused it to freeze 5
I got a new desktop computer (my old one, a Gateway, was over 10 years old and had regularly been making the click of death, so I felt it was "time.") I have been trying to reinstall various programs I had on the old one and I really want to use Tablesmith 5.2 again, and when I first installed it it seemed ok. The next time I got on the computer, it wouldn't open. It said "exceptional error" and it would try to continue, but then nothing. I uninistalled and reinstalled, and it did open, but then it froze, and I could not get it to do anything but close. I am not sure what might be wrong here. I uninstalled it again.

use of the ~Reference directory 3
I would like to set up a table that references a table in the ~reference directory. I can do that no sweat, but I would like to know if that second table can then also reference a third table in the ~reference directory. If that's as clear as mud, try this. Table A is the main table. Table A references table B in the ~reference directory. Can table B then also reference table C also located in the ~reference directory? If so, how many levels can this go?

New tables during Lock down boredom 3 #challenge #tables
Was wondering if anyone made some new tables during lockdown? Your odd table on the age tracking of exploding squirrels might just be the table I (or someone else on this Group) was looking for. I always find that after I browse through some of these tables it inspires me the create some new ones of my own. Don't be stingy. Share ;-)

Generateur de Creature (French) #tablesmith #dnd
Hello there ! I uploaded on the ~Files in french directory a few files for the French speaking D&D3.5 players (I think they may not be numerous). With that they are able to generate Monsters and NPCs as encounters for your campaign, following the DMG's layout or the one used in the Monster Manual. It is especially usefull to generate Dragons (chromatic, metalic and gem). If you have any suggestion to improve it I'll listen to them... Have fun !

Recover my old registration? 2
Hi Bruce; I registered Tablesmith many many years ago, but I can't find any record of it. I'm not even sure if it was under this email (darkechilde13@...) or an older email I no longer have access to. Is there a way to find out? Or even if I have access to the most current version? If not, I'll be happy to register again, but I would prefer to check before I do. Thanks, Bill Bill Hein darkechilde13@... Date Sets 11
Hey folks, A question about data sets. I am generating various stuff from a table group, variables, dice rolls, and a line or two of data. My question is this: Is there a limit to what a dataset value can hold or get from a table/group that is called in get statement? _{Loop~%lp%,{DSAddNR~PntLst2,Power,[PotionCreator.ShopCall]} %CntI%. {DSGet~PntLst2,%CntI%,Power} |CntI={Calc~%CntI%+1}|. {CR~}{Line~center,}} Error: ***ERROR on line 24 of table 'Potion Shop' - Field not found in call to 'DSGet': 'Power'. *** If so, what are the limitations? Once... A long time ago 7
I used to own this, but no big deal. I remember there being a yahoo groups for this, but even more than that, I used to have literally hundreds of tables that ranged from name generators, to adventure creation tables, monster tables, all kinds of tables ... what has happened to all these wonderful tables?? Are they just not anywhere to download? Did the various databases that contained the majority of these tables not get upgraded to newer Tablesmith updates? Where are all the good tables?? ~Del
