use of the ~Reference directory

I would like to set up a table that references a table in the ~reference directory. I can do that no sweat, but I would like to know if that second table can then also reference a third table in the ~reference directory. If that's as clear as mud, try this. Table A is the main table. Table A references table B in the ~reference directory. Can table B then also reference table C also located in the ~reference directory? If so, how many levels can this go?

Yes, it works fine. Not sure I have gone 3 or 4 so far.

There's no programmatic limit on how "deep" you can reference other tables. I suppose if you got ambitious you could fill up your memory, but that would take awhile :)

One note - Tables don't care which folder they're in; the folders are just to help people organize their files. So you can call any table from any category. That's part of the reason the help file suggests making each table file name unique, even if they're in different folders.
