The folders used to default to where TS installed?but that became a security issue with Windows 8 (or Vista? One of the versions prior to 10). Now the default should be in your Documents folder unless you directed it elsewhere.
Before you re-install, I'd check the config file to see if the top and left coordinates got screwed up (this is a known bug that I've never been able to resolve). When TableSmith closes, it saves the position of your window to its config file, but sometimes for some reason the coordinates for the top and left of the window end up being way off the screen, so the next time you launch you get an icon on your taskbar but you can't see the app. While the program is closed, if you open up the config file and set the "top" and "left" each to 0 and then relaunch TableSmith you should see it on screen (assuming that this is the problem you're running into). Regardless of that, the "Tables" folder should be in Documents, in case you need to reinstall (probably wise to back up that folder periodically if you have valuable files in it :)
Unfortunately my personal PC is unavailable at the moment so I may be rusty on the details above, but I can verify later tonight.

I'm pretty sure the default?settings place the four folders into Tablesmith's installation folder.? You can open the properties of the shortcut you launch with to find the install location (If, for example, like me, nothing is ever installed to the default "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)" on C:\)
I had this problem before, where a Windows 10 update I wasn't around for (happened overnight) closed the Tablesmith 5.2 I had open and when I tried to reopen it I first got an error message (wish I would have written it down) and subsequent? trying to open it just would not open (without the error message, that never came up again), although it would place an icon on the start bar when I tried to open it, which also wouldn't open. The first time this happened I had an older version of Tablesmith, so I chose at that time just to upgrade, which solved the problem then, but now it happened to the newer one, and I am afraid I am going to lose custom tables I did a lot of work on. In the old version of the program, the table files were easily found and copied elsewhere as tab files. I can't find the ones I made recently in the new program, the same kind of folders are not available in the same place for the newer one. I would just re-install the program, but I am afraid I will lose the newer custom tables I was working on. What can I do to at least save those tables, even if reinstalling is my best option? Where do the tables I make "go" now?
