Oops, I forgot to ask this.

If you can't remember why you left, and you didn't speak to the moderators first, what makes you think that the owner would want you on the group given what I've just said?

Surely, manners dictates that you talk to the person first and explain?

After purchasing some new designs from a particular designer last week, I went to her/his Yahoo group and asked to join.  I received the message that I had been banned for life.  Evidently, I had at one time joined the group, then unsubbed for some reason.  Banned for life?  Suits me.  I've banned this designer from my pocket book for life, too.  Problem solved.

Hi, l am very new to embroidery and these sites. Now l have noticed while reading digests the word "unsubbed" and that it bans you. Can anyone tell me what "unsubbed" means so that l am not banned. Thanks    Gail

Gail, It means that the person has unsubscribed from the group. In certain circumstances, you will not be allowed to rejoin the group. It is best to read the rules when signing up and make sure, but you can also contact the moderators of the group if you have special circumstances and need to unsub from that particular group.
