Oops, I forgot to ask this.
If you can't remember why you left, and you didn't speak to the moderators first, what makes you think that the owner would want you on the group given what I've just said?
Surely, manners dictates that you talk to the person first and explain?

After purchasing some new designs from a particular designer last week, I went to her/his Yahoo group and asked to join. I received the message that I had been banned for life. Evidently, I had at one time joined the group, then unsubbed for some reason. Banned for life? Suits me. I've banned this designer from my pocket book for life, too. Problem solved.
