I also was recently banned from 2 groups (same owner). I've written
to owner to find out why. I have no clue why i have banned. I was a member for a long time & never broke any of their rules that i know of. I think that owners that ban people should at least tell them why.I also will not buy from the site or send others to them even tho i think they have good designs. brenda |

if my humble opinion counts... i didn't consider it a waste of time..... and if it prevented just one person from getting sick... it was fully worth the 30 seconds it took to read it

Brandi's Angels

Forgive me for not keeping up.........I have been reading about the
angels for Brandi lately, and would like to send her one. I WAS able to download it, and am ready to go...............but I wasn't able to read far enough back to find out the original story. I am sure there may be others in this situation, too. Could someone fill us in on the who, what, where, when? Also, how does Sonja fit in, and what address dio we send them to? Years ago before fancy machines were available, I sewed military patches on uniforms with a straight stitch with the same color thread as the satin stitch on the patch. They went through the military laundry just fine, Starch and all. Good luck
goldie37us <qltlady@...> wrote: I have the opportunity to sew on some patches for a young man in the car repair business. They are for his diesel and automotive certification. My question is would it be best to hand sew them on, or will my Des 1 handle the job? If the machine will handle it, would it be best to use a straight stitch, or would a satin be best? Any other advice would be most welcome and appreciated. I also suggested to him that I could put his name on the shirts, and he liked that idea. It's really amusing that I bumped into him and his girlfriend in the sewing dept. at WalMart and was helping them pick out thread and needles, and they came up with the idea that I could do it instead of the girlfriend. They were complete strangers, I was just helping them out as I was browsing after work. You just never know when opportunity will knock. Looking forward to advice! What's a machine's lifespan?
PattiAnnie
Hi All:
My Babylock Esante 2 has just decided to throw a fit and stop working (in the middle of a project, of course). So it will be making a visit to the repair shop tomorrow. Hope it's nothing too serious. This has me wondering - what is the usual lifespan of an embroidery machine? Mine is four years old and I purchased it just to see if embroidery was something I could do well with. It has lots and lots of projects behind it. In four years I don't think it's gone more than a few days without use. I've been good about regular checkups and cleanings, but does a machine eventually just wear out? When I started out I had no idea I would get so hooked, so I went with a pretty basic machine. Is it time for me to start thinking about trading in and, of course, trading up? I'd appreciate any observations from you experienced embroiderers. Thanks! Patti Bernius Tulsa, OK |
