Re: Embroidering on cardstock
I have embroidered directly on card stock and the design density makes all the difference in the world. I Amazing Design's Edit 'N Stitch to reduce the density if necessary. Some designs will contain small sections where even with a reduced density, too many stitches come together. When this happens you end up punching holes in the cardstock. You can hoop a cutaway stabilizer and use spray adhesive to position the cardstock. After the embroidery is complete, use a light bonding agent to fuse a piece of fabric to the underside (if the embroidery is on the front of a card) to cover the back of the stitching and add stability to the card. Simple single and maybe double run outlines can look quite nice. Too many stitches will create a perforated line that causes the image to get punched out of the cardstock.
Have fun with it, just do a trial sample first. Holly --------------------------------- Food fight? Enjoy some healthy debate in the Yahoo! Answers Food & Drink Q&A. |

Re: PED Basic
Debbie Hunt
that is wrong you can read what is on the card just go up to program files and look for card that tells you what is on it.Also i get alot of no sewing data found out that the picture is to large for my ped so i shrink it down and it is fixed so i can now read it
Debbie Holly Parker <flageolet@...> wrote: PED Basic will just write to the cards, not read what is already on there. It also wipes the card clean everytime you write something new to the card. On another related topic, is anyone else who is using PED Basic having problems viewing some of their designs? I use strictly pes files and I carefully unzip and save seperate so as to not lose anything, but I noticed that in one file that should ahve 38 designs to view, I am seeing 18 files only. For a while I was just getting a "no sewing data" error message and I called customer support and they said to download the update and run that, but now I'm not getting any message. So it doesn't even acknowledge over half of my designs. I'm still waiting for them to get back to me on this, but has anyone else had these problems? Angels watch over you. Holly |

Yes, praise God, he is doing MUCH better. All the black burned areas on his back have peeled off now, his new skin has come back great. No infections, no pain (to speak of), and he is up going 90 miles an hour again :)

All the prayers have been heart felt, and Jesus answered all of them, this HAS been a miracle healing, it really has. nobody believes how well he is doing, even the local doc said it is amazing. Thank you Carol, and the rest of you for all the prayers, we are talking to the manufacturers president of this gas heater about changing their design, and removing the hooks on the front of the heater so no other childs shirt can get hooked, and catch fire. so far they are very eager to change the design, and are looking into this matter with much intrest. Re: PED Basic
croknitsewfab1
I love my PED-Basic. Yes it will read the memory cards, CD's & floppy.
It will also print your design with a color chart and the cross hairs for aligning the design. I haven't had it long so don't know what else if anything that it does, but I love mine. I download my designs then open them in my Basic and print them, save to a CD. I keep them in a 3 ring binder under subject and the CD's in a sleeve at the front of the binder. I use the date I downloaded as a referance # and write it at the top of the design page & on the corasponding CD. When I start a project I can go to my binders and look for a design I would like to use, all the info I need is there, including the CD with the correct design. So far I have about 400 designs done like this. Sue in Houston --- In HookedOnEmbroidery@..., "Dawn" <mrsh81@...> wrote: input on it if you could help. Thank you Dawn |

Re: 6 needle machines
Jim and Mary
Dealers that you did not purchase the machine from have the right to refuse
to service them. This came straight from the mouth of a regional director/supervisor. My dealer had lots of hurricane damage and when both my Ult and my 600 needed warranty work on them she told me to take them to this dealer in Lake Charles. Well, the dealer there wasn't too happy that I'd brought my machines in to her and she finally agreed to work on my Ult but refused to service the 600. I know one thing I'd hate to think I had to do business with her all the time. Mary _____ From: HookedOnEmbroidery@... He will honor the warranty, I'm sure of that. Don't know what brand you want, but you might go the the brand's website and look for the nearest dealer for the brand you want. Good luck! Carol |
