unzipping files
Kay Hennessy
I have always gotten very stressed about unzipping
files because I usually did in in about 4 steps (don't ask) and read here about right clicking and extracting. I did that this AM and where have I been? Once the zip file is extracted does that mean that it is unzipped? Is that all there is to it? TIA Kay H ____________________________________________________________________________________ It's here! Your new message! Get new email alerts with the free Yahoo! Toolbar. |
Singer format
Kathy Pretorius
Hi there lovers of machine embroidery, maybe addicts? like me,
I have noticed that a lot of digitizers do not have the Singer format XXX nor the Singer Futura ftr I am very keen to do test embroidery for anybody that wants to have these formats for their designs. Hope to hear from somebody soon. God bless, Kathy |
Re: auto digitising yuk!!!
I agree with you Glenn. And in Palette/PED, I found that manual digitizing was not only much better, but much easier and faster. There are way too many tutorials and groups that teach manual use of the different software available, not to learn the "Best" way first. I auto-digitized one design before Manual digitizing was explained to me. I haven't gone back. The control you get with manual digitizing is the only way to get the marvelous designs and shading that most all love, not to mention FSL. Mudd

"Vintage Monograms" I released at Sadia's Designs
Sadia Andrews
Dear all,
I am pleased to announce the release of the first in the series of "Vintage Monograms". The Monograms come to you in three sizes with a variety of border designs and numbers to further embellish the designs. There is a free sample for you to test sew the Monogram and its unusual but nostalgic creation. The collection is on a special introductory offer till February 10, 2007. You can view the collection here: I hope you enjoy the designs as much as I enjoyed creating them. Hugs, Sadia "House of Kanta Lace" Embroidery tip/hint: This is not exactly an embroidery tip rather an organization tip. So many times we use patterns to create a garment etc. It is rather hard to fold all the paper pieces back into the envelope. I find that a gallon size ziplock bag works great. Not only can I place all the pattern pieces in there but also remnants of fabric used and or sketches/alternative notes etc as well. To store these, I find a safety pin will hold the plastic bag onto a wire hangar therefore eliminating the need to find storage space. |

Embird Studio would be a great choice. There are many great and reasonably priced tutorials for Embird. Kathy Jones has the Studio Club, monthly lessons, Amy Webster has monthly lessons as well. Both very reasonable.Carolyn Keber has a great tutorial for Studio, well the list goes on. There are Yahoo Groups just for Studio as well. It does take some time to learn, just like anything else but Embird has so many nice features. HTH Nancy On 1/22/07, rosaleatkns <desros@...> wrote:

I went and looked at this blacke work! It really is a pleasure to see. Is it FSL? I am new at this and with the amount of stiches I am only guessing.

Re: Commerical Embroidery Machines
Kathi Brown
Hi, I have a SWF also, but I have the 1 head 6 needle 601C which is compact.
I love mine too. I researched for months. If buying new I would get the 15 needle but I got such a deal on this one only a year old that for now it suits me fine. If you decide not to buy new there are a few good sites that you can pick up used ones. Kathi _____ From: HookedOnEmbroidery@... Digitizing Charges
nstitches525
How much do you charge for digitizing? I did a simple design for a
roofing company-rooftop with the name of the company under the roof and a straight line floor. Roofing and Remodeling was under the floor. It is a 5 x 7 design with 19000 stitches. I am new to this and I am not sure if I should charge by the stitch, like embroidery, or by the time that it took me. Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated. Natalie in Texas |

What makes me happy: Family, Friends, Being Blessed to have a VERY supportive husband-doesn't get upset that the house may not be as clean as maybe it should or that dinner isn't on the table when he comes home. Loves the fact that I have a hobby that brings me great enjoyment. Doesn't get upset by what I spend on it either. Happy also that I have the capability to be on the internet and find such great embroidery groups that support us when we are emotionally and spiritually down and need instant help with a project - NOTHING like it!!
