YEEEEEHEEE!!! Update on the Wild & Wacky book...
Marie - My Embroidery Haven
Hello all,
I am amazed at everyone's enthousiastic reaction to both the books, including Wild & Wacky book, that I announced yesterday... Since then I've had a lot of comments to the effect that by the time the great majority of you became aware of this opportunity, it was already too late as we were already sold out of the 15 copies we had. At your request, I have made some calls this afternoon and I've managed to find a supplier for more books. Again the number of books that are going to be available to me will be limited... Please note that these new copies will regretfully NOT be signed by Rebecca Kemp Brent as I explained to those of you who emailed me today. I was assured that the delay for me to receive this new shipment is of 2 weeks at the most. If you are wanting the Wild & Wacky book and don't mind waiting this little delay, please go to the website and proceed with your order. Here is the reminder from my ad yesterday... 1. Wild & Wacky - Stitch on Any and Every Surface by Linda Turner Griepentrog and Rebecca Kemp Brent .... What is special about it is that it comes with a CD what has really cute designs on it... amazing projects to embroider on anything, easily and beautifully... 2. And we have very little few copies left of Destined To Digitize by Walter Floriani... Have a veryyyyyyyy wonderful week... mine is starting with a smile... LOL p.s. All 15 copies that were sold yesterday afternoon are already on their way to their new homes... all of them have been shipped. Thank you again for supporting our favorites writers. Re: Software
Beatriz Gonzalez
A very interesting question. As an accountant. software has always been a question. Because of their price they are recorded as an asset, and quickly turn into an expense due to the fast moving technology.

Now your question brings a lot of debate. Should the software be included together with the transfer (wehther thru money exchange or dift) to a machine? As an accountant, I will said yes! I really don't know if the copyright law includes this issue or not www:\\bettymas1952@... ----- Original Message ----

Hi Dawn,
Thanks so much for replying! I ended up buying the Pfaff 2056 (sewing machine only) and a Janome 9500. The total price for both of them makes me almost feel like fainting, LOL! Re: Large Job
Amy Middleton
It makes sense and that is how I thought about doing it, I was just thinking that if they wanted more than one skirt it might help keep costs down if we were able to commission the fabric for them and go from there. I'm afraid the tedious work will jack up the cost. However...all that said I think I will try it that way...

For example...I might duplicate the flag 9 times, drag and drop each flag to be about 3 inches apart, with maybe 3 lines into a 6x10 in frame. That way you'll only need to rehoop as you go along. And I would Like to add one very important thing too! about Digitizing. All of those Fancy Stitches look great in a picture! But you will not get that, when you open your software and look at the design, as the software will force a default fancy fill! that your program has, and not the one the digitizer used.. just like when you open a design and it has all of those funky colors!! they are your default colors for your software. That is why you should always make sure the digitizer gives a color sheet as well.. So if you purchase a cute little design with all of those cute fancy fills, and the digitizer used Art, or hus or anything other than what you have to open and stitch it with????? then you will not get the same cute fancy fill and they will be all gapped up and the fill will not be smooth and solid.. That is why the Lady said she hated all of those Fancy fills!!! Linda Watts Watts Embroidery ----- Original Message -----

And in Palette/PED, I found that manualdigitizing was not only much better, but much easier and faster. There are way too many tutorials and groups that teach manual use of the different software available, not to learn the "Best" way first. I auto-digitized one design before Manual digitizing was explained to me. I haven't gone back. The control you get with manual digitizing is the only way to get the marvelous designs and shading that most all love, not to mention FSL. Mudd ----- Original Message ----- |
