A very interesting question. As an accountant. software has always been a question. Because of their price they are recorded as an asset, and quickly turn into an expense due to the fast moving technology.

Now your question brings a lot of debate. Should the software be included together with the transfer (wehther thru money exchange or dift) to a machine? As an accountant, I will said yes! I really don't know if the copyright law includes this issue or not www:\\bettymas1952@... ----- Original Message ----

Sent: Tuesday, January 23, 2007 2:25:25 PM Subject: [HookedOnEmbroidery] Software I have a question about some of the programs I have bought. I was planning to upgrade My Thread Box, and was debating going with the lifetime upgrade. I am in my 70's. While I still enjoy my embroidery and all the programs that I play with on the computer, I got to thinking about these programs and the money I have spent. Will these programs be any good to anyone when I either no longer can or want to use them. I have EQ6, Monogram Wizard, Catalog Express, My Thread Box, Embird and Font Engine, (I am thinking about getting Studio) plus a few others. I sometimes think I enjoy the planning and playing around with them more than the actual work. LOL. Anyway, I know I cannot share these programs with anyone else but can these programs and passwords be passed on to someone else when I am either dead or unable to use them any longer. My daughter has no interest in any sewing stuff. I don't want to sell anything but hate to see good up-to-date programs just tossed out. I would love to get others thinking on this.
