I am looking for redwork Halloween designs - I know I am a little out of

season - I don't want to spend a ton of money and have already checked out
emblibrary and also annthegran... and am considering stuff from both sites.

Anyone out here know of other redwork halloween designs that aren't mega
expensive? (I don't consider the emblibrary's ones mega expensive but I
have seen sites that charge like $40 for a set of designs and that is not in
my purchasing power right now for one project!)

I will start sewing out tomorrow so I would love a little direction on some
other possibilities!

This has converstion charts for just about every brand of thread. Char in WY
I know EmbLibary has a conversation chart for Madeira to other brands,
but is there somewhere that has other brands (Sulky, Marathon, etc) to

lol i did 29 .5 of them with h20 gone before my machine's motor blew up :(((((((((
but the designs stitched beautifully..... without a single thread break that wasn't related to the bobbin running out :)

Brenda, I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe someone here with a D1 has some suggestions? Density should not be a problem.
I sewed about six of them without any problems. Is the H2gone holding up...I don't really know that product, but thinking it's like
Vilene? I used two layers of Vilene.
Also, what size needle are you using and what type of thread? Is the thread catching on something maybe?

Yes, if you want you can send the other angel. I will find out her birth month if you decide to do that.

Sonia I tried stitching the angel on my designer 1 and I broke 5 needles within 1000 stitches, but i had done 1-4000 stitches before the 1st break. any suggestions? I used h2gone. I'm going to try again tomorrow if I can't get it would it be okay for me to send an birthstone angel I just had bought and started doing them. Do you know the month of birth? Just finished the angel. I wanted to do metallic on both sides but couldn't wind the bobbin with the metallic without it kinking. Is there a trick to doing this and do I have to change the tension on the bobbin case?

Anyway it is metallic on one side and lt gray on the other will mail it tomorrow.

Hello all, I just want to bring to your attention that any mail

sent through the US Post Office with NO Return Address is
trashed....They will NOT return it, nor will they send it on.....so,
make sure you put your return address on the evelope or it will not be
delivered.

The above is not true. My husband has been a mailman for many years
and LETTERS are delivered all the time without return addresses. It
is PACKAGES that are not delivered without a return address. They
won't even pick them up or accept them without a return address due to
bomb risks. Kat

Hi Colleen, I digitize and embroider lots of fsl. I hoop 2 layers of H2O gone (this is what I use). I do not use any spray adhesive just hoop the two together. If you just use one layer it does not hold the stitching as well as two.

Where did you find this info? Our postmistress is an idiot. She argued with
me for 3 min (yes I watched the clock) that South Africa was listed under A.
I finally handed my package to the other clerk and said please key it in
under S. Africa is a continent and South Africa is a country. She wont take
my mail without a complete return address.

My daughter, Chelsea, attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA for the past two years. Over the course of those two years she has drawn many fashion designs and of course she always shared them with me. I copied this directly from the USPS Book of Regulations. Only if a piece is marked Priority must there be a return address. Of course if the can't read the address then they can't return.

Minimum Weight: None (if mailpiece is marked "Priority Mail").

Maximum Weight: 70 pounds.

Required Marking: "Priority" or "Priority Mail."

There are no discounted rates for Priority Mail.

Priority Mail is First-Class Mail that weighs over 13 ounces. All matter that is mailable by air can be mailed as Priority Mail. Some things MUST be mailed as Priority Mail (or First-Class Mail), including:

a.. Handwritten or typewritten material.
b.. Bills, statements of account or invoices, credit cards.
c.. Personal correspondence (a letter to Grandma), personalized business correspondence (a handwritten letter to your customer).
d.. All matter sealed or otherwise closed against inspection.
If getting your mail there fast is your top priority, Priority Mail offers the best value. Priority Mail postage includes forwarding and return service. You can enhance the service, security, and convenience of Priority Mail by adding extra services such as Delivery Confirmation and Registered Mail. These services are available for a small fee.

Postage for Priority Mail weighing less than 1 pound is the same price, no matter where you are mailing it. For Priority Mail over 1 pound, the postage rate is determined by how far the mailpiece must travel to get to its destination: the farther it travels the more you pay in postage. The actual distance is measured by "zones." Zones range from zone 1 (local, close to you) to zone 8 (very far away from you). The farther the mail travels, the more zones it crosses, and the more postage you pay. You can access zone charts online.

The Postal Service offers special postage rates for Priority Mail flat-rate containers. Regardless of weight (up to 70 pounds) or destination, any amount of material that fits into a USPS Priority Mail flat-rate container can be mailed for one low price. Priority Mail envelopes, boxes, and tubes are available for free from your local post office.

TIPS
--If you use your own envelope or box for Priority Mail, identify it with the marking, "Priority" or "Priority Mail."
--Many mailers use a service called "Priority Mail drop shipment" to speed up the delivery of their Standard Mail. You mail your trays or sacks of Standard Mail via Priority Mail to the postal facility nearest the final destination of your mail. This is a very cost effective way to get your message to your customer sooner.
--Priority Mail parcels that weigh less than 15 pounds and measure more than 84 inches in combined length and girth are charged a "balloon rate" (the rate for a 15-pound parcel to that zone).

I mailed my beautiful angel to Brandi today, along with a FSL heart with Love on it (both done is red). I would like to have your permission to share your angel design with my Digitizer Class. I feel like once the story of Brandi is told, they too will wish to send angels.

Colleen, I find that if I'm just using the small or medium hoops, one layer
is fine. However, when I do fsl in the large hoop - I need two layers to
keep the tension right in the fabric and to keep from getting that little
"creep" in the Vilene that makes the design off by 1/16th of so of an inch.
Other than that, be sure to use the same thread in the bobbin as you do on
top and I slow my machine down to 75% speed - seems to end up with a better
result. I'm sure others have more information to offer. KathyS

I just did a search on my computer for the 2 files you indicated had
a virus in them.

I do not have the twobirdsonbranch.zip, but located the
words_4_mothers_day_PES.zip in my Designsinstitches folder.

You said you did not know where you got these designs, so I thought I
would let you know and you can go to the designer and let her know.

I have not checked them for viruses.
