Sonia Showalter?? digitized an angel for her. She is 17 years old and is dying with something similar to Krohn's disease. She had her colon removed a few months ago and has been living on just the IV fluids. She is from Sonia's church and Sonia wants her to receive these angels as a surprise. She doesn't want Brandi to know whose idea it was. Lots of us have downloaded the design and stitched them out already. They are FSL and take about 20 minutes to stitch.

Hi everyone, this is kind of long so please bare with me.

I have a free design to offer you, but I hope you will all read this message
completely before running to download it.

The Angel of Light will be available at no charge for the time being. All the
details are revealed when hung in a window!
I do have a request and hope that those who are able will be willing to do this.
PLEASE READ ON

There is a young girl in our church who is suffering from a disease that is
similar to Crohn's disease. Her colon was removed several
months ago and has since suffered from very serious infections and terrible
pain. She has also had so many surgeries I lost count and
last week almost died. She has not had anything to eat in months. Her sustenance
has been her IV and last week there was a
mistake made with the solution. Her electrolytes and system were thrown so off
balance her parents rushed her to the hospital. Her organs
were shutting down as was her heart. If she hadn't already been at the hospital
those critical first moments, she would have died.
Her brother had the same disease and died a couple of days before he was to have
his colon removed. That was just over two years ago and
needles to say, the parents are beside themselves. She is a beautiful 17 year
old who has her whole life to look forward to, but at this moment
it's just hard to say what the next turn will be.
Please pray for this family. The girl's name is Brandi...now my request.

If you like the angel and download it, I would be ever so grateful, if you would
stitch one out and send it to Brandi. If you can't do this for whatever
reason, that is fine too. You are still welcome to the design. There are no
conditions attached. Just a favor.

I made it small enoughto fit an ordinary envelope. My hope is that she'll start
receiving these angels from all over the world. It will be such a lift
for her and her family.
PLEASE DON'T SAY WHO ASKED YOU TO DO THIS, I WANT TO KEEP THAT A SECRET FOR NOW.

I did a file search on my computer for two files in question. file
words_4_mothers_day_PES.zip I found this file in the Design in
Stitches folder and the date downloaded (for me) was 10-15-2006.
The search did not show any results for the other file, sorry.
hope that helps others find the file, but the best way is to do a
search of files on your own computers. copy and paste the whole file
name and have it search your hard drive. If it is there, it will show
you what folder it is located in so you can eliminate it.

you might need to join...
once done... on the left... click on FILES... then on center... click on

I am looking for redwork Halloween designs - I know I am a little out of
season - I don't want to spend a ton of money and have already checked out
emblibrary and also annthegran... and am considering stuff from both sites.

Anyone out here know of other redwork halloween designs that aren't mega
expensive? (I don't consider the emblibrary's ones mega expensive but I
have seen sites that charge like $40 for a set of designs and that is not in
my purchasing power right now for one project!)

I will start sewing out tomorrow so I would love a little direction on some
other possibilities!

I have a little penguin design that I would like to stitch out and
make into a refrigerator magnet for my son. ("Oh Mommy, I just LOVE

I would stitch it on a combination of Amazing Design Stabilize It,
Water soluble backing along with a layer of organza which will be
removed right up to the stitching when the embroidery is complete. You
could then glue the magnet in place. Or you could maybe even turning
it into an applique/patch with the soft craft magnets stitched between
the layers. So first stitch the penguin, lift off your hoop and put
the magnet (some are self adhesive, if not use a little glue) in place
being sure it is under the penquin stitching and then pin a piece of
backing fabric in place...pins in the hoop on the right side of the
penguin and out of the path of the applique stitching. Replace the hoop
carefully. I do my appliques with Amazing Designs Digitize 'n Stitch
which allows you to design the applique around the embroidery design.
Have fun. I hope you are not in NY with all that snow, you just might
end up with real penquins in for a visit.
