Re: 6 needle machines
My ex sister-in-law bought a machine and they came to her home and set it up and gave her lessons right there. She bought a top name brand. Like Juki. She called them not through a dealer. Hope this helps some. Sondra

And 2nd of all I am not sure that I want a babylock. Any suggestions. Pam --------------------------------- Bored stiff? Loosen up... Download and play hundreds of games for free on Yahoo! Thanks, those were exactly what I had wanted, and since I don't have Embird, I went with SewIconz, and it seems great so far.

Thanks, I actually have that one, and was using it quite a bit, I like that it shows larger views than most.

But I wanted to be able to work with the files more, especially between folders, and see all files, not just the design files. For what I need right now, I found SewIconz to be perfect. Merriweather ----- Original Message -----

Re: Applique on sweatshirts
simpleuser2000
You would hoop the stabilizer, lay your sweatshirt on that, no need to
hoop. Your stitching would start and that will hold the sweatshirt to the hooped stabilizer. You will then be able to remove the hoop from the machine. Do Not Unhoop stabilzer. What kind of stabilizer are you going to use with your sweatshirt? Elaine --- In HookedOnEmbroidery@..., "kayladog80003" <countedcross@...> wrote:

Hi Mary Lou,
Very well written! I live in the Florida and am on a very limited budget. I have been shopping Walmart because I am able to save on some items which makes it worth the extra miles to go there to shop for material and other sewing needs. If they close the material/fabric section in the store, then I see no need to shop there. Not worth the distance and time. Thank you, Lee --- In HookedOnEmbroidery@..., "Mary Lou" <maykeg@...> wrote:

Hi Mary Lou,
Sorry, try id=56&cat=1&offset= (Highlight, Copy, then Paste in Address Bar) Instead of going to the website, I just copied the name from the "about" info. Just checked out the above site, and it is correct this time. That's me trying to do things the quick way. Sorry, Lee |
Re: Embroidering on cardstock
Hi there
In response to your question. I find designs that are not very dense works quite well. I have also used cross stitched designs and they came out quite well. Hope you make some beautifull cards. Last year I made all my own christmas tags and embroidered on quite thick handmade paper, and that came out beautifully. I think the bottom line is, you must just play around a bit and have some fun! My Letter - To "Paul Harvey"
Unlike a lot of gripes - this email is not just another one of those. Wal-Mart has recently decided to discontinue the "Fabric" Section of some of there current stores as well as not even include it in their new stores being built just to "Keep up with the Targets"! This is Unfortunate - Because for a lot of Mid- westerners - if it were not for the Fabrics, threads and notions carried at the local Wal-Mart Store, these people would have to travel from 50 to 100 miles to the nearest fabric store. - Maybe it's unknown just how many Women and Men, Girls and Boy's sew, and do Machine Embroidery in essence Wal-Mart is cutting off their own nose to spite their face in doing this unjust action to the "American Public" Home made and Hand made quilts, blankets and clothing for some, are still a way of life - To show pride in what you have produced with your own two hands and creating a treasure for generations to enjoy and pass down stories about with Wal-Mart's help, is slowly coming end. Mr. Harvey - while you may never read this or even address this issue on your program I would like to identify just a small impact on the smaller communities around the US this decision has made - yet you do indorse Wal-Mart quite often - the managers of these stores may not realize the tremendous impact this desission has made on a way of the "American Life" – For you see, it's not all about Computers and the Internet – there are still down to earth ideas and ideals that run the "Heart of Americia". They do not realize how many men and women such as myself that go into Wal-Mart, which sometimes is out of their way to visit the fabrics, browse through the patterns, and chat with one of the associates about sewing an machine embroidery. I know that If and when this department disappears from Wal-Mart, so will I! Thank you for Listening. Mary Lou Harvest, AL Walmart in The Villages FL. The store has notions but NO Fabric. That doesn'tmake sense to me. There is a department called Celebration whichconsist of party supplies. Boy I buy a lot of those supplies. I can't tell you howmany different clubs we have that use fabric of some kind.merchandise two other big sports in The Villages. Well I for one will not buy anyparty supplies from Walmart.
