Laura, staying home with my sons is the biggest regret of my life..I had no choice.
I have only been able to stay home since July 2003, so I understand how you feel. During the time between my husbands I never worked less than 2 full time jobs, went to school, and at times added part time jobs so that I was often gone 20 hours a day. DS stayed with my parents, and I missed so much during that time. Now he is closer to my mom than to me, but I had to what I had to do. Now I'm making up for the lost time, and I truely admire the working moms that I see at all the activities, because I know what a strain it is for them physically to have a full time job, then run to this meeting, that ballgame, or sneak in to be ringside at a stockshow. Right now we are considering me going back to work, but we have crunched the numbers, and decided that if I have to do something to help out financially we are going to figure away for me to be a WAHM (work at home mom). That way I can still be available to the kids and work around their schedules.
