I don't know how others organize their designs, but I needed it
to be simple. I use cd's with the following labels:
Christmas/Winter; Children; Fall/Harvest/Halloween; Spring/Summer;
Designs I Bought; Misc. Designs, and any other I may need. I then
unzip the design and name it and put it one of the above groups,
with the name of the where I got the design.
I also cross post designs that I bought into the categories where
they belong. That way if I need a Christmas design, I don't have
to look in two places and the designs I have bought are backed up.
Since I unzip my designs before filing them, I can just copy them to
my flash card (I have a Janome 300E) and not worry about where I
should unzip.
My backup cd has all my designs together in separate folders with
the names above. This may not be the easiest way for some, but for
me it works nicely.
