I don't know never tried it but the image that comes to mind when you
explain it would convince me to try it... I had a really good image in my
head so it can't go bad

Subject: [HookedOnEmbroidery] Using the lace coaster and butterfly

Hi all just wanted to run something by you all. I have started
making a tablecloth with a circle of applique roses in the middle.
Was on the last one and carelessly got some excess fabric caught up
underneath the hoop and got it caught in the embroidered part of the
leaves..UUUUGHH!! So I had to cut the fabric off the hoop and left
four or five holes about the size of my thumbnail in the fabric :-(
I thought about placing the lace coaster design in the centre of the
roses to introduce some lace into the design then "patching" the
holes around the outside of the design with the lace butterfly
design (this would be kind of randomly placed because of the
position of the holes) Maybe using some tulle or something
underneath. Do you think that would work??? Hope this makes sense.
Any other suggestions??
