Pam, I don't know if this will help you on the quilt but this is a
really good thing to know..

Have you ever heard of Goop (brand) handcleaner? It is for sale on the
net and various stores.

If you have ink pen break in washer, blood, grass stains or any really
difficult stain to get out of clothing etc you can brush goop on with a
soft brush or your finger tips and let stand from a few hrs to
overnight depending upon the stain and then wash as normal and it comes
right out usually the first time.. I had a white sweater I loved have
a pen break in the washer and it took 3-4x of applying and rewashing
(do not dry between) and it ended up like new.

The best thing about it is it doesn't stress the fabric as it is
lanolin based..So you are going to get holes as from bleach etc.

I have taken out motorcycle grease from a jean jacket you would have
been sure was ruined! And of course my white sweater. Even fatty
grease spots on a t-shirt that would normally ruin it come out well.
Blood, grass stains all out with one or two launderings with the goop
sitting on it overnight at the most.

Hope this helps everyone! :) Jill

I was hooping my quilt to embroidery on it and cut my finger on a pin
