for a couple hours every Thursday afternoon at our little hand work quilting group. Thus the name 'Thursday Afternoon'. I love to do needle turn applique. I love making tops but don't much like to do the actual quilting process. I had thought to hand quilt this one but after one block decided it wasn't for me on that black background. My sister's business partner is such a fantastic quilter that I knew she would do a wonderful job and she did. She quilts for people all over. She did all but 2 of the quilts in Karen Coombs book Celtic Pieced Illusions. Try needle turn applique. It's really not too difficult. You just have to remember to only turn under a bit more than needed to make one stitch. Then go to the next etc. That way you get nice smooth curves and sharp points.
