When I download a design, I save it with it's original name, but add a couple of letters before it to designate where I got it (for example, if the file is name cat.zip, I would save it as HOE-cat.zip. When I later unzip it, I add the same letters to the .pes file as well. Of course, some sites have more than one designer, but at least it helps narrow it down. I also keep a list of the abbreviations I use, since it can get confusing on similarly named sites.

Subject: [HookedOnEmbroidery] Just thinking
and that usually gets me into trouble...but anyway. I was just
stitching out a design and still being very new to all of this I just
have to watch every stitch. It made me wonder if it was possible for
the designer to have their name download with the design. I try to
write it down at the time I download a design, but I don't always
remember. Now I will go back to all the places I have found designs to
see if I can find this designer. I am just in love with the way this
one is done. No jump stitches and it stitched out fabulous, I want to
buy more. I just can't remember if it is one I bought or a free one I
came accross.
